User List
The user list is the list of all users logged in to the chat; by default this list is shown on the left. There are two options with respect to the user list.
- Show user list - When the user list is shown, the list on the left will be in full size. One can collapse the user list by clicking on the small triangle on the top of the user list.
- Hide user list - You can hide the user list for all or only normal users (admins/moderators will see it).
Filter Words
Creating and managing Blacklist words and phrases can only be done by the chat owner.
Adding words
You can add words to the list one by one.
Checking the checkbox before the word will match the word to part of other words.
e.g. if you check the box next to the word "hell", the word "hello" will also be blocked
Importing a list:
Create your own list separated by commas. Then, when any of these words are typed in the chat, a message will be shown that the word is not allowed. In that case, the message will be blocked and not sent to others in the chat.
Please use a space before a word to indicate a sub-word which should be searched inside other words. For example:
- If you want to filter the word "bingo" - you can write "bingo".
- If you want to filter the word "bingo" even as part of another word, you can write " bingo" (space before).
- If you want to filter the exact word "bingo" and the word "white" even as part of another word you can write "bingo, white" (space before).
- You can choose between text or file. By default, text is selected.
- If text, you can import by typing a comma separated words
- If file, you can attach a csv (.csv) file and the records will be imported to the list
- You can also choose between add or replace. By default, add is selected.
- Add option will add items on your filter words list and disregards duplicates
- Replace option will completely replace the filter words list with a new one based on the import data.
* Note: Be careful not to make this list too strict, as it will result in blocking legit words!
